Newcomers Memberlist is a wonderful email communications tool for member use only. For it to continue to serve its purpose, everyone must adhere to the rules and guidelines established by the Board.
Newcomers Memberlist is a wonderful email communications tool for member use only. For it to continue to serve its purpose, everyone must adhere to the rules and guidelines established by the Board.
| • | All Member information on Memberlist is strictly confidential |
| • | Only members are permitted to use Memberlist. |
| • | Memberlist can be used to seek references about local businesses, stores, contractors, household or professional services;find others with common interests; or, provide information about community events. |
| • | Memberlist can not be used for the promotion of your own or your employer's business; any commercial solicitations; requests for direct charitable/non-profit contributions/ memberships; advertising; the sale of personal items; or, similar types of material. (Also see Items of Interest section) |
| • | A message should always have a clearly worded subject. |
| • | Only announcements pertaining to Newcomers business are permitted. No unsolicited promotional announcements are allowed. |
| • | You can respond to Memberlist emails in two ways: clicking "Reply" sends a personal reply to the originator, while clicking "Reply All" sends your comments to the entire list. |
| • | Memberlist must not be used to send jokes; messages which contain any religious, racial or political content;and/or, photos or videos unrelated to Newcomer events.There must not be any content that might offend or embarrass another member.This includes text in the signature portion of the message. |
| • | Please do not use Memberlist to distribute information about virus warnings, scams, or hoaxes - even if these warnings appear legitimate. Let your anti-viral software do its work |
